Ok, so you may not know your Victoria Island from your Kerning City, but if you've ever spent time level grinding in ANY online world you'll LOL at these online misadventures. Theses two parodies based on the Nexon game "Maple Story" stares blankly into many complaints I have with all MMORPGs from insane quests to hackers, noobs and online romance.
For those who may not know, MMORPG stands for (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game). Other than being taken to their Orwellian conclusion in the Matrix movies, most MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft ask players to complete a range of "quests" to gain skill levels and money.
Although Maple Story is one of many MMORPGs available online, it seperates itself from many of the others because of it's cute anime-ish 2D gameplay and it's lack of monthly fees. While you get what you pay for - playing Maple Story clearly highlights problems shared in some-part by ALL MMORPGs such as endless repetative tasks, impossible quests, and sophmoric fellow players. Lets face it: if I wanted to waste time repeating meaningless tasks while being surrounded by morrons, I would get a minimum-wage job... Until then, I'll just make funny films about them ^_^
