a tribute to the true heroes of the galaxy
Before there were battle-hardened war-machines, genetically created warriors or supernatural samurai the fate of the universe fell upon the shoulders a different breed of hero.
They had no special powers or quasi-natural skills. In fact, most barely had any formal military training. They were few in number and their weapons redefined theword "rusty," but they were willing to stand up against the greatest force in thegalaxy to protect their freedoms. They were Rebels, and they were willing to risk everything for liberty.
Although there are already a lot of Star Wars inspired fan films online, too many focus on the more "flashy" Jedi rather than the true heroes of 4th thru 6th films. While I have already made two other Star War inspired animations, I really feel this film stands triumphatly as a true tribute rather than a parody.
Perhaps my most intensive film to date, "The Rebels" took over 8 months to complete and although it is reletively short (3 min.) it features an attention to detail beyond what I have ever done before. So sit back, and prepare to be taken back to that galaxy far, far away...
